The Coactive Connector® 1000 Series provides flexible, reliable, universal access to control systems from practically any application, from Web browsers to databases to popular HMI programs. Using Ethernet LANs, dial-up PPP, and the Internet, the Coactive Connector 1000 provides data logging, alarming, and real-time remote monitoring and control to Internet-enable systems such as security, energy management, and equipment monitoring. Its built-in Web server, along with the wide range of Connector Access Software modules available, means data from these systems can be accessed from anywhere on the network. The Coactive Connector 1000 allows your system to achieve true integration with the Internet to enable valuable new features and reduce system costs.
| Give Your Control System an Instant Web Interface
The Coactive Connector® 1000 Series lets you add an instant Web interface to your control system. The universal access that a Web interface provides can bring multiple benefits to control applications. Specialized training costs can be reduced, access can be expanded, and dependence upon proprietary system components can be eliminated. In addition, connecting to the Internet infrastructure allows control applications to take advantage of key resources such as wide area links and remote access. These capabilities can enable or expand important features, in particular remote diagnostics and maintenance.
The Coactive Connector 1000 can access control data, log it, perform local supervisory control, and generate alarms. All of this information is made available to applications across the enterprise from Connector Access Software modules. Java applets deliver live data to Web browsers, an OPC Server interfaces to popular HMI programs, and a CORBA API provides a powerful platform for developing custom C++ and Java applications.
The Coactive Connector 1000 is based on the unique embedded distributed object technology of Coactive's IOConnect Architecture, providing a scalable framework for building monitoring and control applications that span large distances and incorporate very large numbers of control devices.
